This Earth Day, give back to Mother Earth by buying from one of these eco-conscious brands
& find out below how these brands help the earth!
April is Earth Month and today, April 22nd, is Earth Day! In the spirit of being environmentally-friendly (which is something we're ALL about over here at the Extra), I've put together a mini gift guide on some of the top brands to buy from that care about mother earth. This was pretty easy since I've been digging into this whole #sustainableliving thing. Its a journey - let me tell ya.
Starting today (until the 25th) get 20% off sitewide, no code necessary! Isn't this tank I got so cute? Pact Apparel, if you weren't aware, is a sustainable fashion brand. Their mission is to "build Earth’s Favorite Clothing Company." They do this several ways like by choosing materials to minimize our packaging lifecycle footprint and offering the option to offset the carbon footprint of your shipment.
2. Allbirds Shoes.
Some of Allbirds initiatives include reversing climate change, reducing their carbon footprint, and carbon offsets -- they're top notch. They're shoes are also made of all-natural materials: One recycled plastic bottle equals one pair of Allbirds laces!
Yes, I said that right -- SKORT. I die. I love a good skort and this one is too cute! Take 30% off (35% if you give them your #) if you sign up for their newsletters! Everything made my GC is eco-friendly and they tell you all about it in detail on their site.
I've been talking Tarte up a lot this month, but that's for good reason. I've been using this eyeshadow palette constantly and it has the best colors for daily use - lots of browns and neutrals on this palette! The double-sided eyeliner is also so clutch. One side is liquid and the other pencil - I use both! The liquid on my top lid and the pencil on my lower. All tarte products are formulated with a blend of naturally-derived fruit & plant extracts from Mother Nature. They also have vegan-friendly options and are always formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium laurly sulfate & gluten.
5. Tula Primer + Face Cleanser
I've been using Tula's primer for over a year now and LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it. Its cool to the touch and hydrates my skin while also taking on makeup like a pro. Tula's face cleanser is also a great investment (at $28, like dang) and I'll say is worth it. I used to not believe that but I can tell a difference in my skin. This formula works. It is also certified cruelty-free and is also formulated without parabens, mineral oil, phthalates, triclosan, sodium laurly sulfate or gluten.
One of the things I love about Vegan Mia is that you can sample a travel size for a mere $5 before you buy the whole bottle. The first time I tried this stuff I could tell a difference the next day. Lots (7) of good natural oils in this one that combine to help hydrate and nourish your skin. They are also USDA Certified Organic, PETA Certified Cruelty-Free and Vegan and are Certified as a 1% For The Planet Business Member.
I've been hyping up this lounge set for a reason, but I'll give you a tip! Buy the separates so that you can go up a size in the top (if you're a busty gal like me) and you can size down in the pants (they're super stretchy!). The set is super comfy and looks so effortlessly chic with a pair of black heels! Silk is a biodegradable material and the lounge sets themselves are 100% silk - making them 100% biodegradable and good for the earth. Now, use code MOM15 for 15% off!
This Orgaid sheet masks is made of biodegradable fabric - making it perfect for Mother Earth. The sheets themselves do feel a bit funny to the touch, but its just different. It actually sticks to your skin much better than a normal face mask, in my opinion. Again, biodegradable = good. Its also cruelty free, vegan, organic and non-toxic and are sustainably sourced organic ingredients.
